Work has been crazy this week and looks like it will carry over into the weekend. On the fun side of things, however, I’m going to the “experimental roving restaurant” Cafe Nordo tonight for what looks to be quite the dining experience. The menu promises to take us through “the life of the chicken.”
Saturday I’m picking up my very first CSA food box from Growing Washington filled with fresh from the farm fruits and veggies, including turnips, which I have never ever had before. Saturday night we’re heading to Serious Pie with some friends and then to a Bollywood Club for a Bollywood style Halloween party – both places we’ve never been, so lots of firsts on Saturday.
Sunday is going to be a cooking whirlwind because we have friends coming over for a “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” dinner – they’re bringing a side and dessert and we’re cooking up 2 sides, the main course and possibly another dessert. Our goal is to get all of our ingredients from our CSA box and the Farmers Market.
